Wendi Murdoch is a Chinese-born, American entrepreneur, investor, movie producer and collector of Chinese contemporary art.

She is the co-founder of Artsy, an online platform for collecting, discovering and selling art that partners with over 4,000 art museums, galleries, art fairs and auction houses. Artsy has transformed the way art is sold and collected.

Murdoch’s experience as a businesswoman began after she earned an MBA from Yale University’s School of Management and began working at Star TV in Hong Kong. Starting as a junior executive at Star TV, Murdoch was promoted to vice president within one year.

She worked as an advisor for News Corporation businesses and investments in China technology, Internet and new media sectors. Murdoch has used her business expertise to invest in companies in China and US including 23andMe, Alibaba, Artsy, Bytedance, Diamond Foundry, Meituan, Oscar, Tencent, VIPKID, Xiaomi, Uber, Zoox, and Warby Parker.

Expanding into the film production arena, Murdoch was the co-producer of the film version of “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan,” which won the Golden Angel Award at the Chinese American Film Festival. She also produced the Netflix documentary “Sky Ladder,” which premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

Murdoch co-chaired several events at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, including the highly popular exhibition “China: Through the Looking Glass.”

Formerly married to News Corporation chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch, she lives in New York City with their two daughters.
